Little V-Day Things

Posted on

Happy ~almost~ Valentines! Today I am sharing some valentines-inspired things I have been crafting around here lately. First, most of you know that I took some sewing courses last weekend with a couple of friends. What started out as more of a casual social event, quickly turned into a full-on sewing obsession. It was love from the very first French seam. I haven’t wasted any time and have been experimenting at home with making intimates in the form of lacy bralettes. (Finally utilizing some vintage lace that I have had stashed away for nearly a decade.) I am heading to the fabric store tomorrow for lingerie elastics and fasteners so I can finish these little beauties. (Who wants one?!) Let’s just say…this could be a sign of something bigger to come…

Tonight we are lucky enough to have a babysitter for the evening, so Eric and I are going ice skating at Rathausplatz. I have wanted to go all season, but we just can’t do it with the two little ones. I am a disaster on skates, but always love going with Eric who is my literal crutch. After skating, we are heading to a small dinner party and I have made some cupcakes for the occasion. I couldn’t resist using some heart sprinkles because, hello? V-day! (Really into v-day apparently.)

Lastly, Elin and I have been having “crafty afternoons”, which basically involves her coloring all over the place, while I follow behind with a wet wipe. I did manage to make some valentines for her to hand out to a couple of her little friends next week and they are now just waiting patiently in the ledge of our new living room mirror. It’s a cute little decoration for the weekend.

I hope you have a great weekend and Valentine’s Day next week! We are heading to Bratislava, Slovakia on Sunday for one night to visit some friends, so I will see if I can IG something cool. See you next Friday! xoxo T

Happy Valentine’s Day (early) to you too. I really do like this holiday, haven’t decided what I want to make for it. Oh and hang in there, the art is awesome and it takes a little while but they settle in to one spot after a while. Mitchell loves to paint now and it is fun to watch him create. 🙂

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of my little loves.
